Algeria welcomes vision of Kenya regarding completion of decolonization process in Africa

Algiers, November 13, 2014 (SPS) - Algerian Foreign Minister, Ramtane Lamamra, welcomed Tuesday in  Algiers the vision of Kenya and its "honorable position" regarding the completion of the decolonization process in Africa.

 

 In a statement toreporters on the sidelines of the signing of two agreements of cooperation and consultation between the two countries, Lamamra said that "Kenya shares the vision of Algeria concerning the completion of the decolonization process in the African continent," adding that "the presence of an embassy in Nairobi of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) is an honorable position" of the Republic of Kenya vis-a-vis the Saharawi cause.

 

Moreover, Lamamra recalled that Kenya which, like Algeria, had snatched its independence after a lengthy armed struggle shared with Algeria several principles and values, emphasizing the close relations between the two countries in several fields. (SPS)
