Polisario Front reiterates cooperation with UN Secretary General Special Representative for Western Sahara

Wilaya of Smara (Refugee Camps), February 7, 2015 (SPS) – The Prime Minister, Abdelkader Taleb Omar, reiterated Saturday in the Wilaya of Smara, Sahrawi refugee camps, the full cooperation of the Polisario Front with UN Secretary General Special Representative for Western Sahara, Head of the United Nations Mission for the Referendum in Western Sahara (MINURSO), Ms. Kim Bolduc, to facilitate her mission which mainly aimed at the organization of a referendum to decide the future of the Saharawi people.

 

In a statement to the media after the meeting with UN Special Representative for Western Sahara, the Prime Minister confirmed that he informed the UN official, on behalf of President Mohamed Abdelaziz and the Sahrawi leadership, of the rejection of the Saharawi party to the policy of procrastination and wasting of time pursued by the Moroccan occupation authorities, stressing that the time has come for the United Nations to pressure the obstructing party, the Kingdom of Morocco.

 

The Prime Minister expressed hope that the United Nations would take concrete measures to protect the human rights in the occupied Sahrawi territories and put an end to the pillaging of the natural resources of Western Sahara by the Moroccan occupier in clear contradiction to the international law.

 

On the other hand, he condemned the decision of Crans Montana Forum to organize a meeting in the occupied city of Dakhla. (SPS)
