EL-Aaiun (occupied territories), February 9, 2015 (SPS) -The attacks carried out against the Sahrawi people by the Moroccan occupation forces continue in the Saharawi occupied capital, EL-Aaiun, where a peaceful demonstration was brutally repressed recently.

The protesters demanded the decolonization of Western Sahara and the release of all Saharawi political prisoners, a source at the Ministry of Occupied Territories and community abroad, which also reported a deadly assault by Moroccan settlers, against a young Sahrawi in EL-Aaiun.

In occupied EL-Aaiun, the Saharawi peaceful demonstrators were surprised last Saturday by "brutal attacks" carried out by the Moroccan occupation forces in civilian and uniform, supported by the settlers, leaving many casualties among Saharawi defenceless civilians.

The demonstrators carried banners denouncing the "repressive practices committed against defenceless Saharawi civilians" and called for "the release of all Saharawi political prisoners who are still languishing in Moroccan prisons," the same source added.

During this peaceful demonstration, the family of the Saharawi prisoner Mohamed Lamine Haidallah protested against the deadly assault against his son by five Moroccan settlers in EL-Aaiun.

The Saharawi Ministry of Occupied Territories and Saharawi community abroad explained that martyr Mohamed Lamine Haidalla, "died following an attack against him led by five Moroccan settlers on Wednesday, causing a concussion and injury to his neck." (SPS)
