Namibia reiterates support for legitimate struggle of Saharawi people for independence

 Windhoek, February 16, 2015 (SPS) - The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Namibia, Ms. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has reaffirmed his country's support for the just struggle of the Saharawi people for freedom and independence during his reception to the SADR ambassador, Malainin Sadik, said a statement of the Saharawi Embassy in Namibia.

 

During the meeting, the Saharawi Ambassador informed the head of the Namibian diplomacy on the latest developments of the struggle of the Saharawi people and expressed the gratitude of the SADR government to the people and Government of Namibia for their continued support for the just cause of the people Saharawi.

 

The two sides also reviewed the relations between the two countries and discussed ways and means to strengthen them.

 

The Saharawi Ambassador also met with the Secretary General of SWAPO Mr Nangolo Mbumba. Bilateral relations between the POLISARIO and SWAPO were the focus of this meeting.

 

The Ambassador of SADR in Namibia was in the Namibian capital, Windhoek, to participate at the invitation of the Namibian Government's annual presentation ceremony of votes for the diplomatic corps in Namibia. (SPS)
