Melbourne (Australia), March 23, 2015 (SPS) - The President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Mohamed Abdelaziz, decorated Kate Lewis, vice president of the Australian Association of solidarity with the Saharawi people (AWSA) with the 20 May Medal for supporting the people of Western Sahara.
The medal was presented during a ceremony on the sidelines of the first international conference on natural resources of Western Sahara in Melbourne, on behalf of President of the Republic, by Mouloud Saeed, Minister for Asia, in the presence of Kamal Fadel, the Polisario Front representative in Australia, in recognition of her contribution and commitment to the cause of the Saharawi people in their struggle for self-determination and freedom.
Ms. Lewis expressed pride and gratitude for this award from the President of the Republic, Mohamed Abdelaziz, and the Saharawi authorities and people. (SPS)
