Washington, April 09, 2015 (SPS) - The AlgerianForeign Minister, Mr.RamtanLamamra, has reiterated on Wednesday in Washington, the support of his country to the UN efforts to reach a political and final solution that allows the Saharawi people to exercise their right of self- determination in conformity with the UN Charter and resolutions.
In a press conference with his US counterpart, Lamamra said that "Algeria supports the UN Secretary General and his Personal Envoy, Christopher Ross, in their efforts to achieve a mutually acceptable political solution that provides for self-determination of the people Western Sahara in accordance with the Charter and relevant UN resolutions".
"Algeria is convinced that there is no alternative to solve this conflict that the holding of a free and fair referendum on self-determination for the people of Western Sahara," the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Algeria. (SPS)
