Addis Ababa, April 14, 2015 (SPS) - A delegation representing the Ministry of Public Health has attended the meeting of the African Union experts on health, population and drugs control, to prepare for the meeting of African health ministers which set to be held on 15-16 April 2015 at AU headquarters in Addis Ababa, capital of Ethiopia.
The Sahrawi delegation comprised of Dr. Jalil Lasiad, adviser at the Ministry of Public Health, along with Ms. Mahjuba Burki, person in charge of the African Union department in the ministry.
The specialized meeting on health focused on the implementation of the decisions of AU Conference of Ministers of Health, draft African policies on health and the African Strategy for nutrition.
They examined the ways to revitalize the African Centre for Disease Control and Prevention.
The ministers also discussed a set of decisions and communiqués over the past years to develop the field of health. (SPS)
