Submitted on

Dajla (occupied territories), May 12, 2015 (SPS) - A Moroccan court in the occupied city of Dajla on Monday postponed until 18 May 2015 the trial of the Saharawi political prisoner and human rights defender, Atigo Baray, along with 4 young Saharawis, said the Collective of Saharawi Human Rights Defenders (CODESA).

Family of Atigo Baray said they do not know the reasons surrounding such move, after they were prevented entry into the court’s sessions.

The group was arrested on the ground of their participation in several peaceful demonstrations, held in various neighborhoods and streets of occupied Dajla, to call for the right of the Saharawi people to self-determination and to denounce the recent UN Security Council’s Resolution 2218 on Western Sahara.
