Saharawi political prisoner Bouamud Sidi begins open hunger strike

Taroudant (Morocco), May 20, 2015 (SPS) - The Saharawi political prisoner, Bouamud Sidi, has started an open hunger strike in protest to the miserable conditions he experience inside the Moroccan Prison of Taroudant, said a source of the Ministry of Occupied Territories and Communities Abroad.


The same source said that Bouamd Sidi is a victim of racism inside the jail, adding that his demands is to improve his conditions inside the prison and to guarantee his rights as a political prisoner, mainly of which the right to have medical treatment.


Moroccan occupying authorities usually tries to deter the Saharawi political prisoners from holding open hunger strikes, by transferring them from a prison to another. (SPS)
