Brazilian Labour Party launches campaign in favour of Sahrawi Republic

Brasilia (Brazil) June 14, 2015 (SPS) – The Brazilian ruling party, Labour Party, has launched a large campaign in favour of the Sahrawi Republic, during its fifth Congress held in the presence of the President of the country, Ms. Dilma Rousseff and former president of Mr. Lula da Silva, in addition to more than 800 delegates from various Brazilian states.

 

The Congress, held 11-14 June, is attended by the Representative of the Polisario Front Mohamed Zrug besides dozens of representatives of foreign delegations.

 

The fundamental principles and policies of the Congress were presented during the sessions, the first of which is the defense of the right of all peoples to self-determination and national sovereignty, as an essential principle in the foreign policy of the party.

 

In this context, the Brazilian Labour Party confirmed its support for the struggle of colonized peoples and its commitment to the establishment of the Sahrawi Republic as a free and independent state of the Saharawi people. (SPS)
