Geneva(Switzerland), July 01, 2015 (SPS) - Saharawi delegation participating in the works of the 29th session of the Human Rights Council of the United Nations, has organized on Tuesday a workshop under the title: “fundamental freedoms”, at the headquarters of the Council in Geneva.

the representative of the Sahrawi Women Union Ms. Laala Yahdih focused in her speech on the suffering of the Sahrawi women in the occupied territories of Western Sahara and  in the Sahrawi refugee camps, as well as the failure of the United Nations in playing its role for a solution to the Sahrawi issue.

During the discussion the representative of the Organization for Liberation, who was the facilitator of the workshop, stressed the need to respect the right of the Saharawi people to self-determination and  to ensure the final solution through a free, just and fair referendum supervised by the United Nations.SPS
