Madrid, Sept 15 2015 (SPS) .- The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, José Manuel García-Margallo on Monday, reiterated before the special UN envoy for Western Sahara, Mr. Christopher Ross, the support of Spain to a "fair" and "mutually acceptable" solution that addresses the "self-determination" of the Saharawi people.
The Spanish diplomat Margallo highlighted the role of Spain in the international scene and in particular the United Nations in supporting the ongoing work of this organization to achieve a "just, lasting and mutually acceptable political solution which will provide the people of Western Sahara with the right of self-determination.
