Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Spain) October 31, 2015 (SPS) The Spanish party Podemos reiterated Friday its unwavering and unconditional eupport to the struggle of the Sahrawi people as well as solidarity with the Sahrawi refugees following the floods that recently hit the region.
At a reception to the Polisario representative in the Canary Islands, Hamdi Mansour, the spokesperson of the parliamentary group of the party in the regional parliament, Ms. Noemi Santana Pereira, reiterated the position of her party in favor of the Saharawi people right to freedom.
She pledged to work to provide emergency aid to the Sahrawi refugees to alleviate their suffering as a result of heavy rains that have caused considerable damage to the homes and material of the refugees in all the wilayas.
She also expressed hope that the next Spanish government will help in finding a definitive solution to the Western Sahara conflict. (SPS)
