Havana(Cuba), December 03, 2015 (SPS) - The Women´s International Democratic Federation (WIDF) reaffirmed its support to the right of the Saharawi people to freedom and independence, at the end of its 70th anniversary of establishment in the Cuban capital, Havana.
The WIDF final statement expressed its commitment to work and to take possible measures to ensure humanitarian support to the Sahrawi refugee camps, following recent floods that hit the camps, as it asserted the need to dispatch a mission to view and support the sahrawi women in their plight.
During the events, the Saharawi delegation headed by S G of the Sahrawi Women Union Ms. Fatima Mahdi met with many participating delegation such as India, Portugal, Cyprus, Venezuela, Mexico, Guyana, Colombia, Angola, Namibia, Mozambique, Lebanon, Bahrain, Syria, Iraq, Palestine . (SPS)
