London, January 19, 2016 (SPS) .- The British NGO Adala on Tuesday urged the European Parliament to include the situation of human rights in Western Sahara between the priorities of the report which EU will submitted to the Human rights Council of the United Nations and will be subject to vote tomorrow, Wednesday, January 20, 2016.
The NGOs, in his letter to Parliament, expressed concern about the systematic violations of human rights, especially the rights of minors (according to the report by the NGO during 2015 on the situation of minors in occupied territories of Western Sahara), as well as freedom of expression and assembly.
Adala also stressed that the Sahrawis are imprisoned for simply taking part in peaceful demonstrations to defend the right of the Saharawi people to self-determination. (SPS)
