Severe punishment against young Sahrawis by Moroccan court

El Aaiun (occupied territories), February 7, 2016 (SPS) The Moroccan court in the occupied city of El Aaiun on Friday sentenced four unemployed young Saharawi to six months in prison and a fine of 1000 DH, according to Sahrawi judicial sources.

 

The sentence was issued against Djedna Garfa, Raha Younes, Said Lbraigi et Ahmed Zawi.

 

The four young Sahrawis were arrested January 20, following their participation in a peaceful demonstration in the occupied city of Boujdour, organized by unemployed Saharawi graduates to demand their rights to work and a descent life, added the source.

 

Moroccan forces of repression intervened brutally to disperse the demonstration, leaving several wounded among the young participants and others were arrested, said the same source. (SPS)
