Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), November 20, 2024 (SPS) - The Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) is participating in the third high-level meeting on community health workers in Africa, held in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa.
The meeting aims to strengthen coordinated actions to accelerate the scale-up of integrated community health worker programs across Africa.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Director-General of the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC), as well as representatives from African countries and organizations working in the health sector. The objective of the meeting is to enhance coordination and alignment among stakeholders for an effective and sustainable community health system across Africa.
The SADR was represented at this meeting by a delegation from the Ministry of Public Health, including Damaha Mohamed Mohamed Embark, the Central Director of Medical Care, and Hayai Ahmed Baba Hayai, the Director of Information and Sensitization.
