Kigali (Rwanda), August 11, 2024 (SPS) - Member of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front, President of the National Council, Mr. Hammi Salama, representing the President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, participated today, Sunday, in the inauguration ceremony of the President of the Republic of Rwanda, Paul Kagame, who took the constitutional oath at the National Stadium in the capital Kigali.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by African leaders, including 22 heads of state, deputies of heads of state, speakers of parliaments, heads of government, and representatives of regional and international organizations, as well as diverse and multiple heads of delegations.
On the sidelines of the inauguration ceremony, the President of the National Council held meetings with many of the delegations participating in the inauguration ceremony, such as the Algerian delegation, South Africa, Uganda, Angola, Mauritius, Mali, Nigeria, and personalities present from various countries.
It is worth mentioning that Rwanda has recognized the Sahrawi Republic since April 1, 1976 and has strong friendly relations with the Sahrawi State.
