Vasteras (Sweden), December 8, 2016 (SPS) – the Swedish Minister of Sports and Health, Mr. Gabriel Wikström has received Sahrawi youth delegation from the Sahrawi Youth Union (UJSARIO), in the headquarters of the Swedish Social Democratic Party.
the delegation gave a brief presentation on the latest developments in the national cause on the political and diplomatic levels, as well as the recent Moroccan escalation and violation of the ceasefire agreement signed in 1991 between the parties of the conflict, "the Frente POLISARIO and Morocco, in addition to briefing on ongoing violations of human rights against the defenseless Saharawi in the occupied cities of Western Sahara.
For his part, the Swedish minister, stressed the need for further support of his government by using its presence in the Security Council and work to find a solution enables the Saharawi people to self-determination, calling on his government to recognize the SADR.
Gabriel Wikström emphasized his party constant support to the right of the Saharawi people for freedom and self-determination.
The delegation also held several meeting with a number of young said party, where they were briefed on the latest developments of the Saharawi cause, screening documentary about the struggle of Saharawi people for freedom and independence. SPS
