Gaborone (Botswana) 24 June 2021 (SPS)- Saharawi Ambassador to Botswana, Mr. Malainin Mohamed, presented Today Saharawi Government’s condolences to Zambia High Commission in Gaborone for the passing of the late President Kenneth Kaunda, the historical Founding Father of the Republic of Zambia and the last Founding Father of the Organization of African Unity.
“On behalf of the President of the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic, H.E. Mr. Brahim Ghali, and on behalf of the people and Government of the Saharawi Republic, I present our most sincere condolences to the people and Government of Zambia on the occasion of the great loss of H.E. President Kenneth Kaunda, the Founding Father of the Republic of Zambia and of the OAU, and the great son of Africa,” Saharawi Ambassador wrote in the Condolences Book opened by Zambia’s High Commission in its premises in Gaborone, which will stay opened until July 7th.
The Saharawi Ambassador further stressed the historical role played by President Kaunda in defending African people’s legitimate struggles for freedom and independence “in Western Sahara and in all other African soil where colonialism was dominant,” he wrote.
Ambassador Malainin Mohamed also delivered a copy of Saharawi President, H.E. Mr. Brahim Ghali, to his Zambian counterpart and brother, H.E. Mr. Edgar Chagwa Lungu, in which he presented his condolences on this sad occasion last 18 June.
The Saharawi Ambassador was accompanied by Deputy Head of Mission, Mr. Mohamed Emboiric Samba. (SPS)
