Angolan women's foreign relations officer reaffirms support for Sahrawi women's struggle for freedom and independence

Lisbon (Portugal), 29 October 2022 (SPS) - Angolan Women's External Relations Officer Augusta Leonel on Saturday reiterated support for Sahrawi women in their just struggle for freedom and independence.
During a meeting with Sahrawi human rights activist Sultana Khaya on the sidelines of the Congress of Democratic Women in Portugal, Mr. Augusta Leonel expressed the solidarity and support of Angolan women for the struggle of women in the Sahrawi Republic against the Moroccan occupation to end all forms of colonialism in the African continent.
Sahrawi human rights activist Sultana sid Brahim Khaya was received Friday by the Committee on Rights and Freedoms of the Portuguese Parliament, where she briefed the members of the Portuguese Parliamentary Committee on the gravity of the situation in occupied Western Sahara, as well as the systematic violations of human rights committed by the occupying state against defenseless Sahrawis.
