Occupied El-Ayoun, February 19, 2022 (SPS) - The Sahrawi Committee of Arbitrarily Expelled Employees has expressed its “strong” condemnation of the assassination crime, which killed the Sahrawi citizen, Lahbib Agrichi, in the occupied city of Dakhla.
In a statement, the committee announced its absolute solidarity with the family of the deceased Lahbib Agrichi, and with the Sahrawi people struggling in the occupied city of Dakhla, calling upon the International Red Cross to intervene urgently to protect defenseless Sahrawi civilians in the occupied territories of Western Sahara.
It also expressed its “strong” condemnation of the escalation of the occupation's settlement policy in the region as a war crime and a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law.
“We call upon the United Nations and the Security Council to intervene urgently and open an investigation into the violations practiced by the Moroccan occupying authorities and to stop the policies of settlement and land confiscation” added the committee in its statement.
The Saharawi human rights committee demanded for international organizations and media to break the siege on the occupied territories and expose the violations committed by the Moroccan occupation against defenseless Sahrawis.
