Bir Lehlu (Sahrawi Republic), Feb 18, 2022 (SPS) – The Saharawi National Human Rights Commission (CONASADH) condemned the crime of murder committed by the Moroccan occupation authorities against the Saharawi citizen Lehbib Agreichi in the occupied city of Dakhla.
In a statement made public yesterday, a copy of which obtained by SPS, CONASADH "held the occupying State of Morocco responsible for this horrendous crime of which a Saharawi civilian was the victim, as well as for all the premeditated murders committed against defenseless Saharawi citizens in the territories of the Saharawi Republic, asking that those responsible be brought before the courts and international justice, not only for these atrocious crimes, but also for the continuous violations of the norms of international humanitarian law and the relevant charters and conventions”.
CONASADH also "called on international organizations and agencies, as well as the International Committee of the Red Cross, which is primarily responsible for the protection of civilians under occupation, to assume their responsibilities in protecting Saharawi civilians who suffer in the occupied areas of Western Sahara, and the responsibility of the United Nations through its mission in the territory, MINURSO, emphasizing the disastrous consequences and dangers of the repressive policies and practices of the Moroccan occupation authorities that affect Saharawi civilians ”.
