AU honors heads of state signing African Free Trade Agreement

Addis Ababa (AU), 28 February 2021 (SPS) - Permanent Representative to the African Union Mr. Lamine Baali on Friday received, on behalf of President Brahim Gali, a symbolic prize by the African Union for signing and ratifying the African Continental Free Trade Area last year.
By delivering such prizes, the AU and its partners praise the considerable contribution by 33 states that signed and ratified this agreement, with a view to allowing countries of the continent to exchange commercial benefits, increase economic relations and consolidate economic integration.
This official prize-awarding ceremony was celebrated at the main hall of AU headquarters, in the presence of permanent representatives of the honored heads of state. (SPS)
