Liberation war "will not stop until the end of Moroccan occupation"

Shaheed El-Hafed, 05 December 2020 (SPS) - The minister advisor to the Sahrawi presidency for Political Affairs, Bachir Mustapha Syed, said Tuesday that "the 13 November 2020 marks an important change in our people's struggle, manifested in the attacks of the National Liberation Army and the huge mobilization, in support of the Popular Front's decision to resume the armed struggle" against the Moroccan occupation.
Mustapha Syed, in an interview with the Saharawi news agency SPS, said that the war of liberation "broke out in the illegal breach of El-Guerguerat in response to Morocco’s violation of the ceasefire agreement and the inaction of the UN."
"We are at the point of no return until we destroy the Moroccan occupation and liberate our occupied territories."
In response to a question about the opening by some countries of "consulates" in the occupied territories of Western Sahara, Sayed argued that it was a step "aimed at diverting Moroccan public opinion from the kingdom's diplomatic and military failures, in order to fuel its expansionist policy."
He stressed the fact that "this measure lacks any legitimacy with regard to the legal status of the conflict in international law."
Sayed noted, on the other hand, that "the door remains open to UN efforts, but with taking into account the new logic of the Sahrawi side, based on involvement in any peaceful initiative in parallel with the continuation of the armed struggle."
"There is only one condition for the truce, the withdrawal of the Moroccan occupation from Western Sahara." (SPS)
