Covid-19: 129 suspected cases of coronavirus in Sahrawi refugee camps

Shaheed Al-Hafed, 15 August 2020 (SPS) - Spokesperson of the National Committee for the Prevention against Coronavirus, Dr. Mohammed-Salem Al-Sheikh confirmed that there were 129 suspected cases of Coronavirus in the Sahrawi refugee camps, pending the results of the final tests to confirm whether or not they were infected.
During a press conference organized Saturday by the Ministry of Public Health, on the epidemiological situation of the Coronavirus disease, Dr. Mohamed-Salem Al-Sheikh presented statistics related to the suspected infection cases in the Sahrawi refugee camps, confirming that there were 129 suspected cases, including 19 suspected deaths, adding that the suspected deaths included 6 cases aged between 46 and 64, while the other 13 deaths aged 64 and above.
The spokesperson of the National Committee for the Prevention against Coronavirus confirmed that the situation had moved to the third phase of the pandemic, which requires the recruitment of all sectors that can contribute to reducing the spread of the virus, stressing the need for all citizens to adhere to the preventive measures imposed by the authorities since the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic around the world.
As of Friday, the total number of confirmed cases remains 19, including 11 recoveries and 2 deaths, it should be recalled. (SPS)
