Algiers, May 12, 2020 (SPS) - The Algerian National Committee for Solidarity with the Saharawi People (CNASPS) hailed the great legal victories gained by the Frente POLISARIO since its establishment on May 10, 1973.
In a statement on the occasion of the 47th anniversary of the creation of the Frente POLISARIO, CNASPS stressed that "the decision to establish POLISARIO by a group of Sahrawi mujahedeen was the trigger for the Sahrawi Revolution for freedom and the independence of Western Sahara against Spanish colonialism ".
Vanguard of the Saharawi people, POLISARIO has become an authentic, responsible and fighting liberation movement recognized as a representative, unique and legitimate, of the Saharawi people, recalls the committee.
Since the glorious battle of El Khanga in 1973, spark of the liberation resistance, POLISARIO has had an honorable journey, adds the press release which mentions in particular the establishment of the Sahrawi Liberation Army, shield of the Saharawi people and weapon of its military combat for the achievement of its sacred objectives.
In 1976, the Frente POLISARIO announced the creation of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic. SPS
