Moroccan delegation withdraws from Africa-Japan Partnership Ministerial Meeting

Submitted on

Tokyo (Japan), October 6, 2018 (SPS) - The Moroccan delegation withdrew on Saturday from the preparatory ministerial meeting of the 7th TCAD Summit, in protest against the presence of the Saharawi Republic, a full member country and founder of the African Union, alongside the United Nations, the European Union, the World Bank and several continental and international organizations.
The Moroccan delegation had no choice but to withdraw immediately after the speech of the Japanese minister, because of the Saharawi Republic.
The meeting was a strong message to Morocco that its policy of colonization and occupation against the Saharawi state is doomed to failure. (SPS)
