POLISARIO open to dialogue, negotiations on investments in accordance with law

Boumerdes (Algeria), August 15,  2018 (SPS) -  Frente POLISARIO remains open to dialogue and negotiations with companies and economic operators wishing to invest in Western Sahara, in accordance with the law and taking into consideration Sahrawi people's interests, the Prime Minister of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR), Mohamed El Ouali Akik said Wednesday in Boumerdes (50-km east of Algiers).
In his closing address at the 9th Summer University of POLISARIO and SADR executives, the Sahrawi premier called for "immediate halt to the plundering of the natural resources of Western Sahara and for the respect for the ruling of the Court of Justice of the European Union, which stated that Western Sahara and Morocco are two distinct and separate countries and that Morocco has no sovereignty over the Western Sahara."
"Sahrawi people has the right to self-determination and should be consulted about its natural resources," said the Sahrawi Prime minister.
"Deals concluded between the Kingdom of Morocco and the European Union should not include Western Sahara," he added.
The closing session was attended by the deputy speakers of the Council of the Nation (Upper House of Parliament) and the People's National Assembly (Lower House), the Secretary General of the National Liberation Front (FLN), Djamel Ould Abbas, several ambassadors and representatives of parties, institutions and organizations.
