Birthday Lehlou, June 18, 2018 (SPS) – President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Thalidomide, has sent a congratulatory message to President of the Republic of Seychelles, His Excellency Mr Danny Faure, on the occasion of the 42th anniversary of Independent Day.
“On behalf of the Sahrawi Government and People, I would like to extend to your Excellency our sincere congratulations on the 42nd anniversary of your Independence Day, which is a major milestone in the history of the Republic of Seychelles. I also wish the brotherly people of Seychelles happiness, continued success, and prosperity,” said the President of the Republic.
“Over the past 42 years of your independence, Seychelles has made great progress and positive impact not only on its citizens but also on African human development through its constant commitment towards eradication of all sorts of colonisation and subjugation and boosting the economic growth of our continent.”
“Over the years, the Sahrawi Republic (SADR) and Seychelles have also established a close dialogue based on common approach towards a number of topical matters related particularly to addressing key challenges regarding peace and security and our common endeavour to promote and defend the struggle of the Sahrawi people for their right to self-determination and independence.”
“I would also like to seize this opportunity to renew to your Excellency our strong resolve to further consolidate the strong bonds of friendship and solidarity binding our two nations and to boost them to the highest level in the interests of our brotherly peoples and the peoples of our continent,” concluded the President of the Republic his message to President Danny Faure.
