Cuba reiterates support for right of Saharawi people to self-determination

Havana, May 12, 2018 (SPS) - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Marcelino Medina, has reiterated Cuba’s support for the right of the Saharawi people  to self-determination, during a meeting with the President of the National Council, Khatri Addouh.
According to a statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the meeting, the parties reiterated the good relations and exchanged views on issues of bilateral interest, in particular, issues related to cooperation in the fields of health and education.
Mr. Addouh is on an official visit to Cuba, where he had paid tribute to the national hero José Martí, and met with the President of the National Assembly of People's Power (Parliament), Esteban Lazo.
The Cuban parliamentarian also expressed support for the self-determination of the Saharawi people and the exercise of their legitimate right to live in peace in their territory. (SPS)
