La Paz (Bolivia), Nov 4, 2017 (SPS) - Bolivian social and human rights organizations has planned to redouble their efforts to defend the Sahrawi just cause, affirmed human rights activist and president of the Ecuadorian Association for Friendship with the Saharawi People in the Bolivian city of La Paz, Mr. Pablo de la Vega.
During a discussion panel on the right to self-determination of the Saharawi people, held at the Bolivian Human Rights and Development Council in the city, the Bolivian human rights activist highlighted the systematic violations of human rights in the occupied territories of Western Sahara.
The discussion panel highlighted, in addition to the deplorable human rights situation in the occupied territories of Western Sahara, the difficult conditions of the Sahrawi refugee camps.
The discussion panel was attended by delegates from dozens of social organizations, including the Association of Families of Missing Detainees and Martyrs in the Bolivian War of Liberation, the Bolivian Workers' Central and Farmers’ Federation of the Bolivian city of La Paz. (SPS)
