CEAS-SÁHARA holds annual conference

Zaragoza (Spain), March 12, 2017 (SPS) - Spanish Coordination of Solidarity Associations with the Saharawi People (CEAS-SÁHARA) held Saturday the 11th annual conference attended, in addition to the Spanish committees of solidarity and friendship the Sahrawi people, by the representatives of the Polisario Front in the provinces of Madrid, Andalusia and Aragon and all arena Spanish.
In a statement to the press, president of the Coordinating Mr. José Taboada indicated that the objectives of the Coordination is to strengthen solidarity, political and humanitarian support for the Saharawi people, and support them in their ordeal to enable them to their legitimate rights to self-determination and independence.
Mr. Taboaza stated the need to urge Spain to assume administrative, ethical, political, legal and historical responsibilities in Western Sahara.
The participants expressed their absolute solidarity with the Saharawi political prisoners of Gdeim Izik, calling for the intensification of solidarity to make this trial against the occupation for its crimes against the defenseless Sahrawi.
The Coordination comprises more than 100 associations all over Spain operating in various areas of solidarity and support for the Sahrawi people. (SPS)
