President Mohamed Abdelaziz recalled the responsibility of the UN in Western Sahara, a territory in the process of decolonization.

The President called Ban to intervene to avoid the holding of this event that violates the rights of the Saharawi people and international law in regard to non-autonomous territory of Western Sahara.

The Saharawi Government and the Polisario Front considered the planned meeting as "another provocative step and an enemy that aims to encourage Morocco to strengthen its illegal occupation of Western Sahara and increasing violations of the basic rights of the Saharawi people, including the inalienable right to self-determination, "underlined the President Mohamed Abdelaziz.
