A Moroccan court maintains five years sentence in prison against a Saharawi political prisoner

Agadir(Morocco), February 10, 2016 (SPS) .- The Court of Appeal in Agadir (Morocco), decided on Monday to keep arbitrary sentence of five years in prison against the Saharawi political prisoner Embarek Daudi, which was issued on 03 December 2015, according to the Ministry of the Occupied Territories and Community Abroad.

 

 

According to the same source, Embarek Daudi is presented for the second time before the appeal court following the adjournment of the trial last January 25, 2016, because Daudi entered the courtroom chanting slogans in favor of the POLISARIO FRONT and Saharawi people's right to self-determination.

 

Sahrawi political prisoner Daudi spent two years and three months in detention and under monitoring of the Military Tribunal of Rabat, following sentences after three to six months in prison against him fulfilled among Moroccan prisons Gleimim, Ait Melul and Salé. (SPS)
