Vishakhapatnam (India), January 23, 2016 (SPS) - A delegation of the National Union of Sahrawi women (UNMS) headed by its General Secretariat, Ms. Fatma El Mehdi, took part Friday in the XX Congress of the Federation of Indian women (IMF), in Vishakhapatnam city, Indian.
The Congress was attended by more than 800 delegates representing different communities of India and more than 17 delegations representing Asia Europe, United States, Latin America and Africa, reported sources of the UNMS.
In her speech at the opening of the event, the general Secretary of the National Union of Sahrawi expressed thanks to Indian women for their invitation to attend the Congress, addressed the situation of Sahrawi women and their struggle for human rights and rights of women, and appealed to the congress to support the just cause of the Saharawi women.
