DAKHLA (Refugee Camps), December 18, 2015 (SPS) - Debates on the statement and policy report are carrying on by "enthusiastic" delegates, showing a sense of responsibility, at the 14th Congress of the Polisario Front; the event's spokesman, Omar Mansour Mohamed Ambarek, said Friday in the Saharawi refugee camp of Dakhla.

Speakers tackled several issues, especially those relating to the Saharawi Liberation Army and the role of the young, he added.

The issues raised by the speakers, said Omar Mansour, who is the head of Polisario Front mission to France, included young Saharawi people's role in the different bodies of the Polisario Front and their participation in political life and economic development.

Topics relating to development, military direction of the Saharawi Liberation Army and its preparation "have been widely discussed by the participants at the congress."

Omar Mansour underlined that gains and achievements of the past four years, the period between the last and the Polisario Front congress under way, have been at the heart of discussions.

The participants broached aspects relating to political organization, the military activity in the occupied territories and means to strengthen the Intifada of Saharawis in those areas.

They also stressed Saharawi people's diplomatic victories achieved recently, citing European Parliament resolution on the need to expand MINURSO (UN Mission for the Referendum of Western Sahara) prerogatives to include monitoring and reporting of human rights situation in the Saharawi territories occupied by Morocco.
