ALGIERS,October29, 2015 (SPS)–Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ramtane Lamamra on Wednesday reaffirmed Algeria's and Brazil's support to the right of Palestinian and Sahrawi peoples to self-determination.
Speaking at a press conference held jointly with his Brazilian counterpart Luiz Mauro Iecker Vieira, Lamamra underlined the convergence of Algeria's and Brazil's views regarding just causes and the support to the right of peoples to self-determination, as it is the case for the Palestinian and Sahrawi peoples."
Algeria and Brazil "support each other on the international scene regarding the different political and economic issues," said Lamamra, adding that Brazil, which does not a member of the Non-Aligned Movement "adopts a non-Alignment policy" in its relations with other countries around the world, and calls for the respect of their independence and their sovereignty.
As regards the strategic dialogue between Algeria and Brazil, Lamamra said that it was established in 2012.
This dialogue has been materialized through the exchange of visits and continuous consultations, he added. (SPS)
