Sweilma Beiruk hails ANC women’s solidarity with their Saharawi counterparts

Pretoria, August 7, 2015 (SPS) - Vice-president of the Pan-African Parliament, Ms. Sweilma Beiruk, has hailed the solidarity of the African National Congress women with the struggle of Saharawi woman for the liberation of Africa’s last colony, Western Sahara.


Speaking at the opening of the 12th congress of ANC women, underway in South Africa, praised the role played by the ANC to stand for Saharawi woman in her fight for total sovereignty of Western Sahara, applauding the level of mutual relations happily binding women in South African and the Saharawi Republic.


She also expressed Saharawi woman’s determination to improve the mutual relations and ways to common action in order to make the voice of African woman heard worldwide.


The event was attended by South African President Jacob Zuma, Chairperson of the African Commission Ms. Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, leaders of the ruling party and civil society components. (SPS)
