Madrid, 30/06/2015 (SPS) .- If there is no a real and firm pressure, Morocco will not give steps towards the decolonization of Western Sahara, said Abdullah Larabi, saharawi representative in Madrid.
In a statement to the newspaper Sputnik Novosti, Abdullah said that "while Morocco doesn't receive a real and firm pressure, it will continue looking the other way and no progress will be realized towards decolonization".
The fact that the UN Committee of 24 has voted in favor of a speedy decolonization of Western Sahara and has called to conclude as soon as possible the self-determination referendum for the Saharawi people to freely choose its destiny "is not enough for Morocco to listen to reason: while it doesn't receive a pressure from influential countries of the European Union or the United States it will continue ignoring ".
The saharawi delegate spoke about the issue of human rights stating that for Morocco "is the most sensitive issue, no country can ignore it or support it in that respect, that's why it becomes isolated."
Larabi recalled that "the only solution is to provide Sahrawis the possibility of deciding their future through the ballot box." SPS
