Havana, May 8, 2015 (SPS) - The Vice-President of the Pan-African Parliament (PAP), Suelma Beiruk, was received Friday by the President of the National Assembly of People's Power, Esteban Lazo Hernández, member of the Politburo, in the framework of her working visit in Cuba, reported the SADR embassy in Cuba.
During the meetingthat focused on the relations between Cuba and Africa, Suelma warmly thanked Cuba for its assistance to Africa in areas such as health, culture, education and political support to the African peoples.
In this regard shereiterated the gratitude of the Saharawi government to the ongoing support of Cuba to the just causes in Africa and peoples struggling for Liberation and independence.
The PAP Vice Presidentwas also received by the President of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with Peoples, Ms. Kenia Serrano,who reiterated the support for the just cause of the Saharawi people for their freedom and independence.
The PAP Vice Presidentalso took part, alongside the Saharawi Ambassador in Cuba, at the reception organized by the South African Embassy in Havana to mark the Independence Day of South Africa. (SPS)
