Tunis, March 26, 2015 (SPS) - The Sahrawi delegation, participating in the 13th World Social Forum (WSF) which is being held in Tunis (from 24 to 28 March), is working to expand the sphere of the international solidarity with the Sahrawi cause, affirmed Wednesday the head of the Sahrawi delegation, Secretary General of the Sahrawi workers  Mohamed Mohamed Cheikh Lahbib.

The attendance of the Sahrawi delegation, which comprises 120 participants representing the different segments of the civil society, aims at expanding the sphere of the international solidarity with the Sahrawi issue to allow the Sahrawi people to exercise their right to self-determination, Cheikh told the press on the sidelines of the 13th WSF.

The delegation will have a series of meetings with the different segments of the international civil society so that to support the principle of the Saharawi people’s right to self-determination and highlight the struggles of these people for their liberty.

The Sahrawi participation aims also at “exposing” the serious violations committed by the Moroccan occupier against the civil Sahrawi activists and the illegal exploitation of the natural resources of Western Sahara as well as informing the international public opinion about this issue. (SPS)
