Saharawi delegation on working visit to Australia

Sidney (Australia), March 17, 2015 (SPS) - A Sahrawi delegation, headed by Minister Delegate in charge of Asian Affairs Mr. Maulud Said, makes a working visit to Australia in order to participate in the 1st international conference on Saharawi natural resources, to be held in Melbourne on 19-20 March 2015.


Upon their arrival, the delegation were received by the Australia Western Sahara Association (AWSA).


At the capital Canberra, the delegation updated the Australian Federal Parliament members about the serious violations of human rights and systematic looting of Saharawi natural resources by Morocco, in conspiracy with some foreign companies.


The Australian city of Melbourne will this weekend hold the 1st international conference on Western Sahara natural resources, in the presence of numerous experts coming from all over the world.


The conference is to discuss the ways to protect Western Sahara natural resources, and the role it can play in building a stable and prosperous Saharawi stable capable of providing a decent life to its people, it should be recalled. (SPS)
