Geneva, 06 march 2015 (SPS).- Namibian Minister of Justice, H.E UTONI NUJOMA, recalled the International community of its responsibility in the implementation of Self-determination in Western Sahara, during his speech last Tuesday before the 28th Session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva.
He declared that his country would like to remind “the international community of its responsibility to ensure that the right to self-determination for the people of Western Sahara is respected and implemented, in line with the various United Nations resolutions.”
He further said that Namibia “calls upon the occupying powers to respect the rights of our brothers and sisters in Western Sahara and Palestine and call for the implementation of all instruments agreed upon internationally to grant them their right to self-determination.” (SPS)
