Submitted on

Smara (refugee camps), Feb 24, 2015 (SPS) - Saharawi civil society organizations on Monday announced the start of a national campaign in protest of Saharawi natural resources’ plunder by the Moroccan occupying state and some foreign companies.

In a statement to the press, the Saharawi civil society components decided to officially launch the campaign tomorrow, February 25th, by organizing several seminars to raise awareness about the seriousness of these illegal activities.

The campaign will also witness the organization of several demonstrations and rallies denouncing the foreign companies involvement in Morocco’s looting of Western Sahara natural wealth, and demonstrating the Saharawi people’s rejection of such illegal operations.

The statement urged Saharawi civil society components, where they might be, to contribute to the success of the campaign and to act immediately so that these companies stop their illegal operations in Western Sahara. (SPS)
