President of Republic receives Algerian Premier

Algiers, Feb 17, 2015 (SPS) - The President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Frente Polisario Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz on Tuesday received at Djenane El Mithak, the official residence of the President of Algeria and his official guests, the Algerian Prime Minister, Mr. Abdelamek Sellal.


The meeting was also attended by Mr. Ramtane Lamamra, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Algeria.


The President was accompanied by a high level delegation comprised of Prime Minister, Mr. Abdelkader Taleb Omar, Foreign Affairs Minister, Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Salek, Polisario Front’s Representative to the UN, Mr. Boukhari Ahmed, Coordinator with the UN Mission for the Referendum in Western Sahara (MINURSO), Mr. Mhamed Khaddad, Ambassador in Algeria, Mr. Brahim Ghali, Secretary of State for Documentation and Security, Mr. Brahim Ahmed Mahmud, Minister of Occupied Territories, Communities Abroad and National Rural, Mr. Mohamed El-Wali Akeik and the Advisor to the Presidency of the Republic, Mr. Abdati Breika.


The two sides discussed the latest national and international developments on the question of Western Sahara and various African issues.


Addressing the press after these talks, President Mohamed Abdelaziz reiterated “absolute and unconditional commitment” of the Saharawi Republic (SADR) to supporting the efforts being made by the African Union (AU), especially in the areas of development as well as the fight against terrorism and organized crime.


“As a pivotal state in the region, Algeria has played an instrumental role in consolidating peace and security as well as defending the peoples’ right to self-determination,” said President Mohamed Abdelaziz.


It is to be noted that President Mohamed Abdelaziz and the delegation accompanying him arrived Monday evening in Algiers as part of a working visit to the State of Algeria. (SPS)
