Boujdour (refugee camps), Feb 2, 2015 (SPS) - The Preparatory committee for the 7th congress of Saharawi Women Union on Sunday held its first meeting at the headquarters of the Union in Boujdour, Saharawi refugee camps.
The meeting was chaired by the General Secretary of the Union, Mrs. Fatma El-Mehdi, and head of Polisario Front’s political organization, Mr. Salem Labsir.
Speaking during this meeting, Mr. Salem Labsir appreciated the work done by woman since the beginning of Sahrawi revolution, praising the role played by the Frente Polisario to empower woman.
General Secretary of Women Union, for her part, emphasized the importance of this year which will witness the organizations of the Frent Polisario’s Congress.
The committee is composed of 34 members. (SPS)
