Submitted on

El Aaiun (Occupied Territories), December 17, 2014 (SPS) – Sahrawi political prisoner Mohamed Babir initiated December 13, at local prison in Ait Meloul, Morocco, unlimited hunger strike in protest to the repeated physical assaults which he has been subjected to by the prison officials, according to Sahrawi human rights sources.

Father of the Sahrawi political prisoner said he had learned from inside the prison that his son has been subjected to beating and torture by the prison officers, added the sources.

On the other hand, about 20 of the Sahrawi political prisoner at the Moroccan jails waged Tuesday warning hunger strikes for 45 hours, to protest mal-treatment and denial of basic legitimate rights. (SPS)
