Saharawi Ambassador to Namibia presents his credentials

Windhoek (Namibia), Nov 29, 2014, (SPS) – The new Ambassador of the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic to Namibia, Mr. Malainine Sadik, has presented Wednesday his credentials as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to President Hifikepunye Pohamba.

 


On the sidelines of the ceremony, which was held at the headquarters of the presidency, Mr. Malainine Sadik, conveyed to Namibian President the greetings of the Saharawi people as well as the President. He also briefed him on the latest developments of the struggle of the Saharawi people.

 


For his part, Namibian President Pohamba, accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Netumbo Nandi, condemned Moroccan continued obstacles to the UN peace plan, renewing Namibian firm support and solidarity with the people of Western Sahara.

 


It should be recall that Namibian President has received the credentials of ambassadors of thirteen states: Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, Zimbabwe, the United States, Cuba, Portugal, Uruguay, Netherlands, Kenya, Chad, Swaziland, Serbia, Croatia and Egypt.

 


The new Saharawi Ambassador to Namibia has presented on last Monday a copy of his credentials to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Netumbo Nandi. (SPS)
