Marrakech (Morocco), Nov 27, 2014 (SPS) - Moroccan occupying authorities on Wednesday detained for two hours Ms. Joëlle Toutain, French activist and friend of the Saharawi people, at Marrakech Airport, said the Ministry of Occupied Territories and Diaspora.
The French national was intending to take part at the 2nd annual World Human Rights Forum, kicked off Thursday in the city of Marrakech, Morocco.
Moroccan authorities confiscated some 81 booklets about the situation of human rights in occupied Western Sahara, taken away from Toutain’s suitcase.
On March 2013, the activist attended the trial of a group of Saharawi political prisoners arrested on the ground of Gdeim Izik events. (SPS)
